Dr. Doriane Miller, of the University of Chicago Medical Center’s Urban Health Initiative, was granted the Distinguished Community Service & Advocacy Award from the Office of Dr. Kenneth S. Polonsky, Executive Vice President for Medical Affairs, Dean, Division of the Biological Sciences, Dean, Pritzker School of Medicine on June 13, 2011.  Dr. Miller was chosen by the faculty of the Biological Sciences Division for her commitment to serving the community through the Urban Health Initiative’s new Center for Community, Health & Vitality (CCHV).  The CCHV provides essential health information on topics such as asthma, hypertension domestic violence prevention and much more to Chicago’s South Side. Congratulations, Dr. Miller!
